In the interest of saving bits, I turned the local Feed cache back on.
If you find a feed that’s not updating let us know and we’ll take care of it. There are some servers out there that don’t seem to play nice with our caching. I’m working on the issue with the FeedTools author.

So I noticed some oddities in the Smart Feeds and the search results, upon digging I found a mismatched link back to the items, oops.

If you’ve been online since Friday evening you have probably noticed there haven’t been any new items showing up in your feeds, I needed to disable updates while handling the fix for this due to the fact that the current hardware this is running on isn’t anywhere near beefy enough to support much load beyond what it currently has.

I’m hoping this process will be done by the end of the weekend (local time), sorry for the inconvienence, the joys of using an early beta site.

This weeks been a bit of a blur, trying to remember all we did…

We fixed issues with feed importing, this was mostly surrounding OMPL support. Begun themeing support on the CSS and continually continue to update the CSS. Cause as much as we like orange, doesn’t mean everyone will

Cleaned up support for safari, but still not 100% as it seems everyone versions of standards compliant is different.

A great feature suggested by a user is show all unread items in group. If you single click on the group name, all unread items will load. If you double click on the group name, the feeds inside that group will display, double click again and they will hide. Pulls at the top is an All Unread folder. Click on this and it will display every feeds unread item, regardless of your grouping. Juts keep hitting next in the item view and you never need to move.
keyboard navigation: to help with the above goodness, the left and right keys go back and forward on itmes. J goes to next article, K goes to previous. Really handy and just the start of

keyboard nav. It also matched Google and VI, so you shouldn’t need to know anything else.
Made all non UI pages have look based on current homepage - Cause it’s still good to be on brand right?

Plus we somehow got mentioned on Micro Persuasion which was unexpected and really appreciated. Plus, it made our signups go up beautifully which is a nice perk.
