We continue to push forward towards a release. You hopefully noticed that we were offline for the majority of the day (which means people are still using the site
). An issue came up after this weekends updates which was causing some server load and it made sense to leave it off until fixed.
So what is new? Smart Feeds. Want to know which of your feeds talk about “Ajax”? Make a smart feed for your list, and know permanently. Want to find when other feeds, ones that you don’t subscribe to, talk about “Web2.0″? Set the search to search “All Feeds,” and it will search all feeds on our system and will update your list. Like the new feed? Well you can even subscribe to those feeds permanently from within the item view. It’s really a great way to search your feeds as well as introducing yourself to new ones.
We’ve also continued to squash bugs, fixed drag and drop support and launched a intial homepage. We’re hoping to open this baby up come next Monday. Please continue to test and report on bugs, it’s been a big help so far.

We’ve squashed a bunch of bugs, restored folder and feed deletion. I’ve begun to clean up the UI a bit. Tried adding alternating rows to the feed list, but I don’t think it works, too busy.
need to rethink (hell - think) about how tabs display works. popular tagging view is gonna be fun.
The buzz machine will begin soon.

Michael has had a busy weekend, deciding to change the Ajax engine from scriptaculous to dojo for a number of reasons. Switching to dojo is also gonna let us do some other features we have planned that was not as easy to do with the scriptaculous code base. Everything should be working as normal, but let us know if not. In particular the drag and drop feature on the feeds list is out of commission.
But he implemented tagging! It’s not as pretty as it should be (hey, I wanted to not touch the code while it was in flux. I know, excuses!) but it works, please try it out and let us know your feelings.
What would any Web2.0 site be without Tagging? Tags are added in the individual item view level, comma spaced much like Flickr. You can then view your tagged items from the tag pane in the feed list area. (again, bad UI all my fault, just click on the icon of a tag). From that pane you can see your tagged items as well as other popular tagged items - the beginning of some social bookmarking. It should for the moment show the top 20 popular tags, which of course we’ll make configurable in the future.
Thanks to everyone who has left feedback and bug requests, it has helped alot so we hope you continue to do so!

Welcome to our blog, so Web2.0 for sure. In here we will be posting updates on our little project. We will try and give you the heads up on any changes so you can prepare, hide and/or test. Hopefully this blog will help focus the efforts of those helping out; as prior to this there was no way for you to know easily what was new, nor communicate with one another.
Please forgive all grammar and spelling errors in advance. It’s not top on our Feature list.
